Happy Easter #25

CAKE

I made the same chocolate cake for one half of the Mirana collective for her birthday and she and the rest of S.C.A.R.E can vouch for its deliciousness.

1 1/2 cups self raising flour

1 cup sugar

1/3 cup cocoa powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 cup veg oil

1 cup soy milk

1 tsp vanilla essence

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

1/2 tsp salt

Mix all the liquids, mix all the dry stuff, add liquid to dry and mix well.  Pour into a cake tray and cook on Gas 4 for 30-35  mins.

Frosting

cocoa, icing sugar, butter, drop of soy milk – mix.  I have no idea on the measurements i used but i made too much.

    Hey, i found your blog off Martin’s and i thought i’d let you know that i used your recipe and made this cake yesterday as I’m trying to go Vegan, and it was soooo good.

    Hey that’s rad! (on both accounts, making the cake and going vegan) Good luck and thanks for the kind words.

    One of our friends Rhianna has a blog of recipes that are all vegan, it’s on my blog roll to the right under “I don’t eat my friends”.
